Matt Getman prides himself on his decades of experience organizing and performing music for events ranging from weddings to corporate functions to just about anything you could name. His training began in the mid '80s in Boston, where his private studies led him to a love of the book of jazz standards. In 1992, Matt enrolled in Music Performance/Composition studies at Berklee College of Music. By '96, he dove full-on into a music career in New York City, where he spent the next 7 years working his craft and sharing the stage with some of the all-time greats in the world of music. By 2002, however, Matt sought quieter surrounding and moved to Central Vermont. Over the next eight years he took it upon himself to compile a songbook with his favorite songs from all genres. He personally arranged hundreds upon hundreds of the greatest pop, rock, latin, jazz, reggae, funk and R&B tunes and his love of music was poured into every note. That becomes obvious when you hear him play some of your favorite songs by a variety of artists such as the Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Miles Davis, Bob Marley, James Brown….even Led Zeppelin!
